For the past 42 years, Maxim Lighting has been committed to providing a diverse selection of high quality lighting fixtures focusing on the middle and upper middle class marketplace in lighting design. Maxim Lighting offers entire families of matching chandeliers, ceiling pendants lighting, wall sconces, outdoor lighting and bathroom lights so that creating a unifying lighting theme has never been easier.

Maxim Lighting is the creation of two brothers who envisioned a company based on family values, excellent customer  relations and high quality products. The company’s story first began in 1965 when Jacob Sperling first came to Los Angles on a student visa. While he pursed an education in aeronautical engineering he worked as a sales representative for a lighting  retailer. That job is what introduced him to the lighting industry and he soon realized his passion for designing lighting fixtures. He began creating and designing his own creations in his garage and selling them locally. As his fixtures became more and more popular Jacob started selling his pieces throughout California out of the back of his station wagon. In 1970 Jacob teamed up with his brother Zvi and Maxim Lighting was born. 

Five years after the company started it had grown out of Jacob’s garage and into a large warehouse in downtown Los Angles. The two brothers continued to run the company together with Zvi overseeing marketing and Jacob focusing on production. Still the company continued to grow and by 1989 they again moved to an even larger warehouse. Over the years the company became more and more successful and yet no matter how large they grew Maxim Lighting remained a company dedicated their customers and creating quality light fixtures for residential and commercial spaces. 

Maxim Lighting is not only dedicated to their customers but also to providing light fixtures that are in line with the latest  interior design trends and fashions.  This drive to keep current and modern is what prompted Maxim Lighting to launch ET2 Contemporary Lighting in the year 2004. ET2 Contemporary Lighting is a line of more modern fixtures to compliment the more traditional look of Maxim Lighting’s product lines. It is important for a lighting company to have a balance of different styles because variety is a key to creating beautiful design schemes. Maxim’s vast selection of fixtures makes it easy to find exactly what you are looking for to make you home décor fit your personal tastes.
